This is Pecotic. She came to us as an 8 week old pup with an already healed (sideways) fracture of her leg. Instead of the cheaper option of amputation, we decided to go for the the painful, more expensive and longer healing option of the halo (you can see in the photo). The result is clear that she is still a happy, healthy four-legged young dog.
None of this would be possible without our extraordinary foster carers, who open their hearts and homes to dogs in need. But with so many lives to save, the costs are immense — nearly $1 million in vet bills each year. Adoption fees alone can’t cover these costs, and that’s where we need your help.
Your donation isn’t just a gift, it is a lifeline. It’s a second chance for a dog who has known nothing but fear and uncertainty.
With your support, we can continue to rescue, heal, and rehome these dogs, giving them the love and safety they deserve. Please, if you can, donate today. Together, we can save even more lives.
